Das Institut für Energiewirtschaft und Rationelle Energieanwendung (IER) gestaltet das nachhaltige Energiesystem der Zukunft aktiv mit und arbeitet interdisziplinär zwischen Ingenieur- und Naturwissenschaften sowie Wirtschafts- und Sozialwissenschaften.<h2>Profil</h2><ul> <li> Die Möglichkeit zur Promotion ist gegeben und explizit erwünscht. </li> <li> Globale Energiesystemmodellierung </li> <li> Was Sie mitbringen: </li> <li> Abschluss M.Sc. in der Fachrichtung Energie- oder Umweltschutztechnik, Elektrotechnik, Bauingenieurwesen, Maschinenbau oder in vergleichbaren Studiengängen </li> <li> Kenntnisse in der Programmierung bzw. sicherer Umgang mit Python </li> <li> Erste Erfahrung in der Entwicklung und Anwendung von Simulations- und Optimierungsmodellen wünschenswert </li> <li> Intrinsische Neugierde und Interesse bzw. Freude am selbstständigen wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten </li> <li> Sehr gute Deutschkenntnisse für den Austausch mit Projektpartnern und der Öffentlichkeit </li> </ul><h2>Aufgaben</h2><p></p><ul> <li> Globale Klimaschutzziele stellen das Energiesystem vor tiefgreifende Herausforderungen. Digitalisierung aber auch der Bedarf an Low-Emission-Technologies (z. B. im Bereich der Mobilität) zur Erreichung von Klimazielen führen zu einem Strukturwandel, der das Energiesystem maßgeblich beeinflussen wird. Dies umfasst insbesondere die Verfügbarkeit der Materialien (insb. die kritischer Materialien), die veränderte Energienachfrage für die Herstellung von Low-Emission-Technologies und allgemein die Digitalisierung (z. B. durch Rechenzentren u. a.), was einzeln aber vor allem auch in Kombination eine Herausforderung für ein nachhaltiges Energiesystem darstellt. </li> <li> Ihre Aufgabe besteht darin, diese Rück- und Wechselwirkungen des Strukturwandels in ein globales Energiesystem zu integrieren und die Effekte im Rahmen einer Szenarienanalyse zu untersuchen. </li> <li> Weiterentwicklung des Energiesystemmodells TIAM </li> <li> Bewertung von Transformationspfaden für das gesamte Energiesystem oder einzelner Teilbereiche (z. B.
